Description

Work in a World class luxury Swiss chalet this winter!   This is a diverse and extremely challenging “hands on” role assisting the General Manager who has overall responsibility for every aspect of the lodge operation and for the performance of each individual member of the lodge team.
 
The main emphasis in this role is on customer service, the key objective being to deliver a world-class hospitality service and to create unique and memorable holiday experiences for every client.    
 
Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting with the management, training and development of each member of the lodge team and prioritising this workload 
  • Evening service, once trained to primarily run service taking on all guest requirements and communicating this completely to all staff where required
  • Leading by example, the ability to work beside and directly manage the 2 Lodge Host’s 
  • Customer service delivery + guest satisfaction (inc catering, transport, skiing, après ski, games/entertainment, child care, technology/communications)  
  • Proactive communication with guests, provide a service before the guest makes the request and to anticipate events before they happen
  • Housekeeping (rooms, laundry, cleanliness and presentation throughout the lodge)
  • General lodge maintenance  
  • General hygiene, health and safety standards
  • Local supplier relations with the General Manager
  • Driving / Picking up guests locally in one of the Lodge minivans 

Requirements

This role would suit individuals with the following skill set:
  
  • Previous 4/5 star hospitality or silver service experience and/or previous chalet, private home or yacht experience
  • Management experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation/time management skills
  • Basic administrative, computer and accounting skills
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Experience in driving in icy mountainous conditions (preferred)
  • Conversational German (preferred)
